Easy Lifting With Threads PDO

What are pdo threads?

The thread lift PDO is a non-surgical method, which uses a dissolvable suture to tighten and lift our skin. In this process, absorbable threads made of the same material as those used in surgeries are inserted into us. Polydioxanone (PDO) yarns use biodegradable polyester suture. It is one of the least invasive procedures that can be performed on the face. These threads are completely absorbed by the body within 110 to 150 days. These threads are ideal for rejuvenating our skin and correcting skin laxity.

What makes PDO threads different?

This method is one of three types of sutures commonly used in skin lifting procedures. The other two types are made from polylactic acid and polycaprolactone. These stitches activate certain cells in our body called fibroblasts and are responsible for producing more collagen. But what is collagen? Collagen is a protein that gives our skin the elasticity it needs to be healthy, young and firm. Its loss from our body causes aging and sagging of the skin. So with this particular method, the lifting is not done mechanically like with other facelifts where the threads exclusively pull our skin, but it is done through the natural stimulation of collagen and the components of our body.

How is the threading process done?

Their installation is one of the safest and easiest procedures and for this reason it is also characterized as a revolutionary method. The specialist will use local anesthesia on the patient and then the threads will be placed with the help of needles, which are designed in such a way that this lifting is painless and the threads can be removed immediately. It is especially important that the patient can return to his activities immediately.

Can PDO threads be divided into other categories?

PLA and PCA filaments are newer than PDO filaments. They last longer in our body and stimulate more collagen production. Each type of thread is best suited for a specific function. PDO threads are better at rejuvenating the tissue while PLA and PCA threads are better at lifting the loose parts of our skin. Of course, these combinations will only be recommended by our doctor, who is also the person in charge.

What are the benefits of the treatment?

Tightens the skin under the chin

Corrects deep expression wrinkles

Straightens eyebrows and eyelids

How long do the results last?

Immediately after inserting the threads we can see visible results and change on us, but the final result will be seen after about a year and a half. The results, however, will remain for about 3 to 4 years, according to reliable and modern studies.

Are there any side effects from PDO threads?

This method is particularly safe, as the complete absorption of the threads by the body ensures the desired result and excludes any possibility of infection, thus side effects. However, there is a slight chance of microecchymosis during the placement process, a side effect that subsides within a week. This facelift does not give the feeling of pulling for it and is highly recommended.

On which part of the face and body can PDO threads be used?

This facelift is capable of treating many areas of our face where signs of sagging and aging have been observed. The most common areas are the neck, around the eyes, jaw and forehead. However, this method can also be performed on the rest of the body, such as on the buttocks and abdomen. However, even if it can be used everywhere, on the face it is easier to correct imperfections while on the body more treatments are needed to deal with sagging.
